In two of the similar occurrences, members of the public (MOPs) accessed the level crossings from the station platform and not through authorised pedestrian routes, as a result, the RAIU make the following safety recommendation (AO-03):
Iarnród Éireann Infrastructure Manager (IÉ-IM) should introduce measures to deter pedestrians from using unauthorised routes onto CCTV Level Crossings.
